This increased mortgage rates because bonds underwrite many mortgages, also wiped billions off pensions. Yes Truss is to blame, not the Bank of England.

@maw6578 UK is left-leaning by votes: Labour 33.7% + Lib Dem 12.2% + Green 6.7% + SNP 2.5% = 54.1%. Compare that to Con 23.7% + Reform 14.3% = 38%.
The UK is easily more left-leaning; has been for decades. We’ve been cheated by FPTP whereas PR will free the left to do good.
