@Anfieldexile Love this, Colin. In the same way that multiple choice testing is “the most accurate form of marking”, those school leaders tied to public exams can see that grades are easily measurable. Unfortunately easy measurement does not equal accurate assessment.
@adamboxer1 Yes. @BGGS_Birmingham I needed some time off on Friday, and came back to find that one of SLT had covered a lesson, and had found a better task online than the rubbish one I left. Lots a supportive schools out here!
@Mobyhaque1 In schools (I'm a teacher) children are all encouraged to celebrate Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Hannukah etc etc. Why can't some adults do the same?
@RogersHistory There are two sides to work/life balance. We all fight to not work so hard, but a balanced life needs work too. Partners and friends are vital as venting tools as long as it’s a 2-way conversation.
@kingmidasinreve@theAliceRoberts The one I remember is "In their writing, Smith, where Jones had had "had", had had "had had". "Had had" had had the teacher's approval."
@anna_bull_@omniphonik@Cloudgazing@DrFautley Not always. I used to teach in a comprehensive school where whole class "band lessons" were taught in yr7. Many kids started there and went through the system to music college.
