Congrats to our 2 seniors, Christian Hamilton and Carson Brown who closed out their remarkable HS track and field careers yesterday at the IHSAA State Finals. Collectively they own 7 school records and have raised the bar for what is means to be a Springs Valley T&F athlete.

Carson Brown finished his high school career with an amazing 5th place in the 3200m at the IHSAA State Finals! He surged from 12th to 5th in the closing laps. His 1600m splits were 4:32/4:30 and his last lap was 60 seconds! Carson's time of 9:02.15 is a new school record!!

@MikeCunningham My staff has been invited by a college coach to their practice, and the character of those coaches was on full display. I left there with knowledge gained but more importantly knowing I would trust any athlete to go to that program to compete. They would be cared for.

@MikeCunningham In general, I would love to see college coaches have more engagement with high school coaches. After 4 years of coaching a kid, you want to know they will be taken care of and cared for. Parents trust our opinions of college programs and coaches.
