Congrats to our 2 seniors, Christian Hamilton and Carson Brown who closed out their remarkable HS track and field careers yesterday at the IHSAA State Finals. Collectively they own 7 school records and have raised the bar for what is means to be a Springs Valley T&F athlete.

Carson Brown finished his high school career with an amazing 5th place in the 3200m at the IHSAA State Finals! He surged from 12th to 5th in the closing laps. His 1600m splits were 4:32/4:30 and his last lap was 60 seconds! Carson's time of 9:02.15 is a new school record!!

Have been fortunate enough to visit with a few college coaches this spring..guess what numbers they’re interested in? Speed data. Track times and laser timing gives them an idea of where you stand and if you are even in the ballpark of the guys they already have in their program.

Carson Brown's last lap at the Carmel Distance Showcase on Friday. He was towards the back of the pack after 2 laps but worked his way up to win Heat #7 and smash his 3200m school record by whopping 15 seconds - 9:11.29!!

AM: Runs 16:00 5K for Indiana XC All-Stars, helping IN win the Mid-East XC Championship in Ohio!

PM: Crushes his own 3200m PR by 14 secs with a blazing 9:16 at the Lloyd White Distance Festival - the fastest ever by a SV athlete!

Congrats to Carson Brown for finishing 11th at the IHSAA XC State Finals today!! He was 28th at the 4K pole and, with an amazing kick over the last 1K, passed 17 runners to place higher than any other SV runner ever at the State Finals. What a race!
