Hey, @virginmedia , I have been cold-called by (allegedly) one of your staff; they asked me to provide details of my account password before they would offer me a discount against the upcoming price rise! Is this a legitimate approach? Are you seriously asking for passwords?

@virginmedia I get the need to identify me, but you called me, on the number recorded on my account. You have multiple options to identify me without resorting to hacking my password. If this is your standard approach then maybe I should consider finding another provider?

@virginmedia Number came up as 0800 183 6416 but we all know that can be spoofed. Was obviously from an offshore call centre due to heavy accent & delay on the line. You have all my details recorded, you should not be asking for password information, there are other ways to prove my identity!
