Ben from Ben & Jerry’s confronts RFK Jr. and Congress:
“YOU’RE KILLING POOR KIDS IN GAZA
AND PAYING FOR IT BY CUTTING MEDICAID
FOR KIDS HERE.”
While Congress writes checks for bombs, children are starving.
Today marks two months of siege on the people of #Gaza.
It is a siege on children, women, older people & ordinary men.
They are collectively punished for being born & living in Gaza, something not of their making.
The State of Israel must lift the siege + allow a flow of basic supplies.
The hostages must be released.
With every additional day, the siege will silently kill more children & women in addition to those killed by bombardements.
It’s time to show we haven’t completely lost our humanity.
Across the now-decimated Gaza Strip, America’s mark is everywhere. In footage shot by CBS News in May, the ground is littered with US-made ammunition casings – some used to prop up tents, others turned into playthings by children.
Today the Government gave approval for Ireland to intervene in South Africa’s International Court of Justice case against Israel under the Genocide Convention.
Amid the gigantic humanitarian needs in Gaza, aid is outrageously being blocked.
The nightmare is not a crisis of logistics.
It’s a crisis of political will and of respect for fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.
Elena Gorolová was forcibly sterilized under government-sponsored eugenics program in communist Czechoslovakia.
Because she is Roma.
She told her story until the Czech government was forced to listen.

United States VETOES Security Council draft resolution that would have demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, and the release of all hostages
RESULT
In Favor: 14
Against: 1 (US)
Abstain: 0
Statement:
Yesterday, two IDF excavators and one IDF bulldozer destroyed part of a fence and a concrete structure in a UNIFIL position in Ras Naqoura. In response to our urgent protest, the IDF denied any activity was taking place inside the UNIFIL position.
Returning to Gaza now, I see destruction that defies belief, from Rafah, via Khan Yunis, to Gaza City.
This is destruction of an entire society of more than 2 million people, in a densely populated, small, confined territory.
This is in no way “self-defence.”
Is incredibly difficult to move around inside Gaza and to reach those in need here.
Getting aid into and around Gaza is a vast, bureaucratic & logistical challenge.
We must have a ceasefire, and we must have access, so that we can reach those in truly desperate need.
Doctors Without Borders denounces in the strongest possible terms the killing of our colleague in #Gaza
This is our 8th colleague killed in #Gaza and the second in two weeks.
“We’re concerned that this is an attempt to excuse any future attack on these six journalists…this is part of a pattern where journalists are killed and then #Israel says they were terrorists without providing any real credible evidence.” - @jodieginsberg of @CPJMENA
Annual greenhouse gas emissions reached an all-time high last year.
Either leaders bridge the emissions gap, or we plunge headlong into climate disaster – with the poorest and most vulnerable suffering the most.

Dr. Mohammad Ghanem, a doctor at Kamal Adwan Hospital, was killed by an Israeli drone strike in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.
Previously, Dr. Mohammad worked at Al-Shifa Hospital, but the Israeli army rendered the hospital non-operational. After Al-Shifa Hospital was closed, he continued his duties at Al-Baptist Hospital. Following the occupation of Al-Baptist Hospital by Israeli forces, he moved to Patients’ Friends Hospital and eventually to Kamal Adwan Hospital, where he continued practicing medicine.
Remaining committed to the Hippocratic Oath and insisting on fulfilling his duties, Dr. Mohammad was killed by Israeli forces this morning in Jabalia.
In Gaza, the collective shame of the century continues unabated and unstopped, in defiance of every norm of international law and morale. The Palestinians, exhausted by relentless attacks on their bodies and souls are abandoned to their tormentors. Shocking images of summary executions, mass forced displacements, and other egregious abuses strike us, leaving us stunned and bewildered, unable to comprehend that what is happening in Gaza is truly real. What a disgraceful testament to our global failure to protect basic human rights . The United Nations, once a believed beacon of hope and a force for peace, are crumbling under the weight of this shame - and the pressure of the inaction or complicity of its most powerful member states.
Palestinians pick up the scattered & blasted remains of children murdered by the israelis during the bombing of Asmaa School, just west of Gaza City
Another night of horror in the #Gaza Strip.
A strike hit a hospital courtyard, burning the tents where people were sleeping. Just before this, an @UNRWA school sheltering families was hit in Nuseirat.
That same school was going to be used as a #polio vaccination site today.
