TPD’s Harrison and Wilma licensed this week to become PDs.

They have successfully completed their six week specialist course and have now returned to force to put their noses to work.

Harrison came from local breeder whilst Wilma was a rescue from the local @RSPCA_official 🐾

Today marks the start of Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Hate crime is defined as any criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a person’s race; religion/belief; sexual orientation; disability or because they are transgender.

The theme for this year is ‘faith’. If you have been the victim of abuse or targeted because of your religion or belief, we want you to know that we are there for you. Please report it to us so we can investigate offences fully and signpost you to support.

We do not tolerate hate crime in any form. There is no place for hate. We have teams dedicated to supporting victims of hate crime, but we all have a part of play in ending hate crime and hate incidents, so if you have witnessed a hate crime or hate incident, please report it.
