I’ve said it before, the best way for elite guys to get back on track is to get back to their college playing weight. Guys don’t fall off because they aren’t good anymore. They fall off because they’re too heavy.
George S. Patton believed fear was contagious. But so was courage.
During World War II, while shells exploded around his men, Patton walked openly across the battlefield.
No hiding. No panic.
One officer asked him:
"Sir, aren’t you afraid?"
Patton replied:
"Of course I’m afraid. I’m just more afraid of failing my men."
Courage is not the absence of fear.
It is mastery over it.
18-year-old wide receiver Camden Capehart 🇺🇸 stormed to 10.02s (1.9) over 100m at the UIL 3A State Championships in Texas!
Already committed to Mississippi State University to play football.
His performance makes him US No. 7 all-time among wind-legal high school performers.
For decades they have taught that the best training programs are mapped out.
In reality, the best program is written week by week, session by session.
It’s adaptable, progressible, and systematic. Every session built of the last one, not preplanning an entire cycle.
Official. Johnston has 16 receiving TDs over the last two seasons.
Only four WRs have more: Ja’Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Davante Adams and Tee Higgins — the latter with 33 more targets.
The other three? 185, 138 and 80.
Misconception: Relative Strength only matters for Young Athletes.
Reality👇🏻
Even as athletes get faster, they still need access to more strength in order to be more explosive.
The game doesn’t change, it’s still about ground force. Relative Strength is a huge part of that.
Jason & Travis Kelce talking about the ridiculousness of baseball conditioning…
“It makes no sense.”
“You should be running SPRINTS or doing base running. Not running foul pole to foul pole.”
STOP treating baseball players like marathoners
A good friend of mine and coach that’s a bodybuilder told me this
“The older you get, the heavier you are, the harder it is on your body”.
This isn’t to say you shouldn’t have muscle, but being unnecessarily muscular & big is a net negative as you age.
Anyone who goes out and watches their kids play flag football on a Saturday morning, and then signs those same kids up to play tackle football should have a pretty good understanding that the two are not remotely the same sport.
Looks like that's showing today.
