@adamvoge The passing with both feet across multiple distances looked so smooth and effortless. Almost every ball was weighted well and played into an area for the next player to continue the progression.
@HarrySymeou Roy just seems stuck in the past and the comments are the lowest common denominator. Cahill on the other hand, is trying to analyze the play, the progression, and the identity.
@YankeeGunner It looked like they were playing high school soccer for the last 30 minutes - pass backward followed by booming it down the sideline. Few attempts at sustained possession. A draw would have been great.
@YankeeGunner This is the same type of result that knocked Arsenal out of Top 4 last year. I wasn’t expecting a Bournemouth win, but up 2-0 to not take any points is rough. Atleast keep the tie!
@HarrySymeou @chronicles_afc Arsenal need a #6 who can challenge for the starting role next year and can play the same style of football. I don’t believe Sambi is at, or will be at, that level. My biggest concerns are with him out of possession, mainly defensive strength and field positioning.
@HarrySymeou Disagree. The Premier League is finally getting the rewards of a more evenly distributed revenue model. The PL is the product, not one or two teams. Other leagues should consider something similar where parity creates a better viewing product.
@adamvoge Do the stats show Bellingham as improved compared to his rank last year? Last year he was a very good player but likely not worth the £75m spend needed. You could get similar quality for much less money.
@YankeeGunner This lineup is stronger than many of the teams Sambi lined up in last year. It speaks to the rising talent at the club. It’s a good test for Sambi individually and Arteta’s system.
@adamvoge How much did your model weigh npxG? I feel like goal threat is a requirement for Arsenal with the desperate need to add ~15 goals this season. For that reason I’m not sure CHO is the right move.
@adamvoge Do Tchouameni’s stats not point to an 8? Would you rather Arsenal directly find this left 8 position or go after Tchouameni in the 6 and push Partey to this left 8 role?
@onemopportunity@adnansvirk@jessica_smetana@LeBatardShow I thought I was alone when I looked at Spotify’s end of year posts and thought “I’m listening to the same number of shows in half the time. Who has all this free time?”. Feeling slightly less alone now. An avid 2.0 listener
@YankeeGunner @Stillberto I think that’s the frustrating part. Anything seen as evening the score would be retaliatory in the eyes of referees and reflect even more severely on Arsenal. It’s a lose-lose situation.
@adamvoge Is this the realization that Tchouameni to Arsenal is borderline unrealistic? For the quoted Fabrian Ruiz money vs. the reported Tchouameni money, Ruiz looks like the better value buy.
