The hypocrisy is simple: you benefited from immigration, then mock other legal immigrants instead of discussing policy on its merits. Nobody is asking for special treatment. These families entered Canada legally under a Government of Canada emergency program, work, pay taxes, and contribute to their communities. They're simply asking for enough time to complete their permanent residence pathways through existing immigration programs. We can disagree on immigration policy without dehumanizing people or pretending humanitarian discretion has never existed in Canada.
Many TS2023 families are highly educated, skilled, employed, and earning good incomes. Some contribute more to Canada’s economy than the people attacking them online. Their challenge is not lack of value it is that Express Entry often penalizes people for factors like age, timing, and technical eligibility gaps. Asking for time to complete existing PR pathways is not “fueling anger.” Dehumanizing legal
@MarkJCarney Canada Day is about celebrating belonging and hope. This is the only home Zeynep and Ahmet truly know, yet their world faces deportation. Today, we ask Canada to stand by its values and protect our children. 🇨🇦 #CanadaDay#TS2023OneVoice#ExtendTS2023
People are born into the vision they belong to. Our vision is Canada. That unshakeable foundation Carney mentioned is built on arms opened with kindness, a society enriched by diversity, and a future built together. Now is the time to stand up for these values for the extension of #TS2023 visas! We are in the squares for our rights, and we will not be silenced! 📢🇨🇦 #TS2023Movement #BuiltToLast #Kindnes #ExtendTS2023 @TS2023OWP@LenaMetlegeDiab@MarkJCarney

#DiversityIsStrength As the #TS2023 community, we have given our hard work to this country. Now, we are defending our rights for the extension of our work permits and raising our voices in the squares! Protecting diversity means not leaving those who labor here behind. Hear our voice!
@MarkJCarney@MarcMillerVM As TS2023 work permit holders, we have been living, working, and contributing to Canada for the past 3 yearsour recent work permit extension requests were rejected. How can we talk about 'equality' and 'nurturing strengths' We deserve fairness, not rejection. #extendts2023
@sarobertson_ Trudeau talks about integration and shared values, yet his government just rejected a 2-year extension for thousands of hard-working people under the #TS2023 policy who are already fully integrated here. Total contradiction. 🇨🇦 #ExtendTS2023@TS2023OWP@LenaMetlegeDiab
Thousands of people under the #TS2023 policy are facing a crisis after the gov rejected extending temporary work permits. Please help us bring this urgent story to light! 🇨🇦 @mark_slapinski#ExtendTS2023@LenaMetlegeDiab
Great rally today to #ExtendTS2023 — a program to provide work permits for those fleeing the earthquake in Turkey in 2023.
These people built lives here, work and have children in school. They are calling on Carney to extend permits and allow them to stay. https://t.co/XGuH5hfhsO
