@AlyssaLaurenza Physical Mail is Umpteen times more likely to be read! Postcards are making a huge comeback for marketing folks! Or failing that, email tracking - something that clearly indicates to the recipient, the sender KNOWS you’ve read this. Kind of adds that culpibility
Very happy to sign the open letter. Last week I wrote to @RishiSunak about this and hope to receive a response soon.
Too many people are being left behind and the government needs to act.
Meet Mark, an ex serviceman with a wife on the NHS front line and two young daughters.
He started a new job recently, so now he has been left with nothing.
@RishiSunak promised to protect servicemen and women. So why is he still ignoring #newstarterfurlough?

I hope @RishiSunak and his team will revisit cases like Lisa’s. I’m sure this is an unintended consequence of the furlough arrangement. RT if you agree.

THREAD- With the new Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme available many constituents have contacted me as they've been unable to be placed on the scheme.
I've written to the Chancellor @RishiSunak to raise these issues urgently & urge the Treasury to make several changes.👇 1/8
Hundreds of thousands of people will still not benefit from the Job Retention Scheme’s extension to qualify for #furlough to 19 March. @rishisunak please fix the loopholes and technicalities that are making so many people lose out.

.@CommonsTreasury 350,000-500,000 in hospitality industry may still not be eligible after the #furlough cut off date change to 19th March. @RishiSunak needs to urgently fix the loopholes in financial support schemes that are still leaving so many behind. https://t.co/CXWdL4VK0C
@NinaWarhurst - it’s unbelievably frustrating for new starters! This scheme should be extended to all affected by the lockdown - if in employment (regardless of start date!) or were due to start! Let’s not forget, only reason we are not working is because of the pandemic!!
