A protest against the war in Gaza was held outside the US Consulate in Belfast on Saturday where those gathered were told: ‘We must stand up’.

The Mother’s Against Genocide group were among those taking part in the march on Saturday from Queen’s University to the consulate building in the Stranmillis area.

The latest protest marked Palestine Land Day, which commemorates the deaths of six Palestine citizens in Israel who were killed by Israeli police on March 30, 1976.
