@AngryBootneck My mate's from M'boro & dad is Scottish. Working class people from Glasgow etc have more in common with Scousers, Mancs, & Geordies than they do with Edinburghers. True.
@TheLaurenChen I was living in Shanghai in 2008 & apartments were about 30* the average salary of an engineer, scientist etc... I've been expecting it to crash ever since. There were few other outlets for investment so a huge chunk of the savings went into property.
🌪️A Chinese Man Was Sucked From His 12th-Floor Window. Beijing Says 11 Died. Don't Believe the Count.
Monday night in Huanggang, a 30-year-old man was ripped out of his 12th-floor apartment by tornado winds — along with his sofa, cabinets, and dining table. He landed in the landscaped courtyard below and is now in intensive care. That single detail tells you more about what struck central China than any Xinhua bulletin.
The storm was rated EF2 on the Enhanced Fujita scale, strong enough to tear roofs off buildings and overturn vehicles. Winds hit 149 km/h (93 mph), with gusts almost certainly higher. The tornado jumped the Yangtze after gutting Ezhou, then tore into Huanggang Normal University's stadium. Heavy trucks were lifted and hurled 30 meters. More than 4,855 homes were damaged; 22 collapsed outright.
Beijing's official toll: 11 dead, 1 missing, 331 injured, 14,600 affected. Local reports say Huanggang Central Hospital is overwhelmed. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) controls what goes on the tally, when it goes on, and what quietly disappears. That pattern runs from the 2008 Sichuan earthquake to the 2020 Wuhan outbreak and every flood season since.
This isn't one storm. Guangxi is drowning under Typhoon Maysak: a port city submerged, a dam breached, cobras loose in the floodwaters. Gansu just dug bodies out of a landslide. Super Typhoon Bavi, which struck Rota at Category 5, is tracking toward Taiwan, with landfall on China's east coast expected this weekend.

@NickDixon I saw her at Glasgow Barrowlands around about this time on our way to our usual Friday night out in the city - she was stunningly beautiful; still the best looking wee bird I've seen in the flesh & she kept winking at me.
@WeShuggie Who is there? I had a chart before with a lot of the top guy's family members but they've purged so much stuff from the internet about themselves.
Sitting on the bus in rural Ireland, being the only blonde white woman in a summer dress while being surrounded by North African and African men and women in hijabs and burkas is wild 😳
I left France 8 years ago to get away from mass immigration, as I've witnessed the devastating effects and decline of it over there for 20+ yrs.
I truly despise all mad liberal radical lefties, NGOs, and other entities enabling the destruction of our beautiful, once safe country.
What comes around goes around.
Erin go bragh 🇮🇪 Ireland belongs to the Irish 🇮🇪🙏🍀🤍
@Babygravy9 Xi Jinping is a BILLIONAIRE & it's obscenely rich cadre all the way down. My friend's dad is mid level cadre & he was going to buy a house in a really expensive part of London, cash, because he's a big Chelsea fan.
@StoicFeller@Babygravy9 That would be Xi Jinping then 😆 COVID in China was largely rival factions contesting power; Beijing vs Jiang Zemin faction, Shanghai. Sh suffered the worst in many ways.
@Babygravy9 They are executed but you got to think of it more like the Mafia taking out their rivals or not kicking enough upstairs to the Boss. Xi launched his "Tigers & Flies" campaign just after he came into power, but it was purely a hit list. I was in 🇨🇳 at the time; Check Bo Xilai.
@blaiklockBP Their tribe. We can never be part of their tribe but they instantly become part of ours upon arrival. Also, pretty sure they can't just swap tribes in Africa either.
@Babygravy9 All the carers in my local area near Glasgow are African; I read recently that they're flying them in from Africa. Read a few days ago that they can get £20k grant to start a business & as I see them running around in new liveried vans for cake shops & such, it must be true.
@AngryBootneck I'm Scottish - a good chunk of the indy people were completely unaware of it during the referendum. We were hugely overrepresented in the empire shenanigans. My favourite city is Hong Kong & we pretty much built that due to us being Pablo Escobar n sheeit - Jardine Matheson.
