What responsibility do artists and creators bear when their images fuel atrocity?

Join us Friday, Feb. 6 for a timely webinar presented by the @RHJCenter as part of their 80 Years of Nuremberg Symposium.

Military historian Dr. Mark Hull will discuss three Nazi propaganda artists whose iconic antisemitic films and images helped enable the Holocaust yet never led to criminal accountability. He will examine why prosecuting imagery remains so difficult, even as incitement through words led to the conviction and execution of Julius Streicher.

We'll then share examples of today’s Nazi-inspired, AI-generated memes designed to evade detection while recruiting vulnerable youth into extremism.

This one-hour session will conclude with Q&A.

What if your father left you the keys to one of history's most critical chapters?

In 1945, my father served as a guard and admin at ASHCAN—the secret interrogation center in Luxembourg where major war criminals were held before Nuremberg.

For decades, hidden in our South Florida attic, he kept the daily memos and diaries documenting each prisoner's arrival and interrogation—many of which he likely typed. Firsthand testimony from someone who witnessed justice and the foundation of international law—at 21 years old.

But these aren't just artifacts. They're proof of something today's students desperately need to understand: that Hitler's war aims centered on exterminating Jews, Slavs, Poles, and others deemed "subhuman." That dangerous ideologies lead to lethal consequences.

In an era where disinformation spreads faster than truth, young people need more than textbook summaries. They need historical evidence they can't dismiss or distort.

This is why we're building Courtroom 600—because the truth of Nuremberg belongs in the hands of the next generation facing their own tests of justice.
