This is the best monsoonal pattern we’ve seen in years across the southwest in regards to constant SE flow for weeks that doesn’t seem to have an end in sight. A very welcomed sight for places like my state Arizona!
Multiple Northwest flow systems are expected to impact portions of the Midwest/East Coast region over the next week. Seasonably strong flow over a moist, unstable airmass should support severe storms. Some uncertainty remains, but a more in-depth thread will be out tomorrow!

WOW check out this river gauge reading for the West Nueces River at Brackettville TX right now! Major flood situation unfolding in the Texas Hill Country right now as multiple flash flood warnings are in place with rain still continuing to fall!
Pretty big chase day across central Arizona. Spent much of the day around the Picacho peak area and then later out off parks link road. #azwx#monsoon#Arizona

Multiple outflows pushing across western Cochise County and eastern Santa Cruz County.
Expect gusty winds from outflows and reduced visibilities. Dust has been observed from Willcox southwest towards Benson.

After a HOT mostly dry weeek in the southwest, monsoon moisture with showers and t-storms return to the southwest USA. You can really see the flip flop by late weekend. The true monsoon finally gets here this weekend.
Wildland firefighters and support personnel serve in many different roles, in every corner of the country, but they are united by a common purpose: protecting lives, communities, and natural resources.
On this National Wildland Firefighter Day, we recognize the professionalism, dedication, and courage of the entire wildland fire community.
We also pause to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and remember the families, friends, and coworkers who carry that loss forward.
Today is a day of recognition, reflection, and gratitude.

Honoring a fallen hero: Nick Hutcherson
A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of Nicholas A. Hutcherson, the U.S. Forest Service wildland firefighter who was killed in the line of duty while battling the Knowles and Gore Fire along the Utah-Colorado border on June 27.
Hutcherson served on the Kaibab National Forest's Pittman Valley Helitack Crew and dedicated his life to protecting communities, public lands and his fellow firefighters. Those who knew him say he will be remembered for his courage, kindness and unwavering commitment to serving others.
The fundraiser will help his family with funeral, memorial, travel and other immediate expenses as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Our thoughts are with Nick's family, friends and his fellow firefighters as they mourn the loss of a man who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others
The wildfire outbreak in the Four Corners Region continues to worsen each day…
Several large, intense fires are visible on satellite tonight, including the #AspenAcresFire in Pueblo County, Colorado. It started this morning and has already burned 23,000 acres. #COwx
