Dear & respected MPs @SagarKhandre12 (Bidar), @Tejasvi_Surya (Bengaluru), and @yaduveerwadiyar (Mysuru),
This is a humble request to kindly introduce a daily train between Secunderabad and Ashokpuram via Bidar and Kalaburagi, as previously discussed. Please do this favor for -
The Mysuru–Tirunelveli Special (06241/06242) operated in August showed very minimal bookings from Mysuru.
RTI data reveals only a handful of passengers boarded from Mysuru, while Bengaluru had the highest numbers.
This raises a serious question - why did @RailMinIndia introduce a special from Mysuru when demand clearly originated from Bengaluru? 🤔
Data from 26 Aug 2025 shows over 100+ passengers from Bengaluru, but barely any from Mysuru. In return Bengaluru gets 400+ & Mysuru 80+
Instead of such low-demand services, @SWRRLY should explore high-potential routes like Mysuru–Bidar via Raichur & Kalaburagi.
There’s already a strong passenger demand between Bengaluru and Kalyana Karnataka - Mysuru can easily be linked too.
Time for smarter train planning!
Connecting Mysuru with northern Karnataka will boost regional mobility, tourism, and employment.
Let’s hope future special or regular trains focus on real demand-based routes rather than symbolic ones.

Bengaluru South MP @Tejasvi_Surya will meet Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw on Sept 6 to seek a new daily train from Mysuru to Secunderabad via Bengaluru–Kalaburagi–Bidar. He will also push for a second superfast train between Bengaluru & Mumbai.
The proposed service will open direct rail connectivity to Mantralayam Road, a major pilgrimage centre. First proposed between Mysuru/Bengaluru & Bidar, was later suggested to extend till Secunderabad for operational reasons.
At present, there is no direct train between Mysuru & Bidar, while Kalaburagi has only one. Passengers & forums stress that a new daily train from Mysuru/Bengaluru–Mumbai is a long-pending demand and must be fulfilled at the earliest.
