Stable isotope geochemist with a passion for early Earth, mineral deposits and mass specs. Associate professor @uibgeo @CDeepSea. PhD from @UniUtrecht.
Home again after a fantastic time in the Barberton Greenstone Belt.
The 2nd week was spent studying the formation of sulfate minerals more than 3.2 billion years ago - with a great team, beautiful sunsets and spectacular outcrops. So long ๐ฟ๐ฆ!

Teamwork makes the dream work โฅ๏ธ
Fantastic to lead this team in the field with long-term collaborators Paul Mason @UUEarthSciences and Mark van Zuilen, soon-to-start PhD student Friedrich, and MSc student Enza @uibgeo@CDeepSea.

Another paper published! ๐
We show that Cu isotope ratios from hydrothermal vent fluids can be recorded in paired hydrothermal chimneys - but only in the very innermost conduit, as alteration of chalcopyrite by intruding seawater shifts Cu isotope ratios to higher values.
New paper out! ๐๐ฅณ
Results of several MSc projects, one PhD project and my postdoc are now finally published in Frontiers in Marine Science #teamwork@uibgeo@CDeepSea
