I knew about some of the racism in Disney movies, but before watching Mickey Mouse Monopoly, I had not thought of the harmful family violence and gender role portrayals.

Disney's portrayals of gender roles have been extremely consistent throughout time. I have yet to encounter a Disney movie where the girl is not "feminine".
