Here are some untapped niches in Healthcare that can make you an overnight billionaire in Nigeria.

- Build ICU ( Intensive Care Unit ) centers . For a population of over 200 million we don't have enough to cater for Emergencies.

- Build Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Centers. Kidney problems remain a big issue, more people are now exploring transplant.
Centers are so few.

- Build a Cancer center with Radiotherapy machines-
An untapped niche, we have so few machines to address Millions of Cancer cases.

- State of the Art Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologic centers.
Some states don't have functioning CT scan, MRI.
Foreign companies are already leveraging on this and making big bucks.

- Invest in a Rehab facility
Drug use won't stop, More awareness is ongoing.
More people know they need help.
But facilities are few.

- Build a Breast Milk Bank.
Might sound weird but some Mums still have lactation problems.
Be the center of Breast Milk for Mums that aren't producing well.
A gold mine.

- Build a Sperm and Egg storage facility
People are expanding their minds to how much they store their gametes for future purposes.
Be the juggernaut.

- Invest in Geriatric and Old people homes.
Japa will continue, Exodus will continue. Parents will get old.
Children will leave..who will take care of them??
Your facility.

- Invest in Stem cell transplant center
Another one that's yet to peak in Nigeria
From sickle cell, blood cancers and more.
Solutions abound.

- Invest in a Liver transplant Center.
Another Gold mine.
Most times in Nigeria, liver cancer and liver diseases, the end stage is death.
Barely is a transplant attempted due to cost.
Be the solution.

- Invest in an Organ Donation facility.
Soon, we will be having organ banks where people can get legal Organs for transplant.
No organs should waste.

These are potential for investments that I have identified.
I do hope people launch into this and build.

You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.

What Truly Should Be Our Priority Now as Leaders of a Nation?

This question has become necessary, given where we are today as a nation and where we are supposed to be.
While completing my INEC nomination form yesterday, Section E, Question 1 caught my attention. It asks: “Have you ever been adjudged a lunatic or been declared a person of unsound mind?” The answer is either Yes or No. That question got me thinking: Can we, as the political leaders of today’s Nigeria, truly say we are exhibiting the characteristics of a sound mind?

When Nigerians, including children and security personnel, are being abducted into the bushes, citizens cannot travel safely on our highways, several million Nigerians are uncertain where their next meal will come from, and several billions are being siphoned frivolously through non-existent agencies and projects, should politics really be our primary preoccupation?

A sound-minded leadership would have declared these existential challenges a national emergency and immediately mobilised all relevant institutions, security agencies, experts, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders to confront them with urgency and resolve. At a moment like this, the survival, security, and stability of Nigeria must take precedence over every other consideration. This is a time for decisive action, not political calculation or the pursuit of partisan advantage.

Further in the same Section E, Question 6, was: “Have you ever presented a forged certificate to INEC?” Again, the answer is either Yes or No. This raises another important question: Why shouldn’t INEC, in the interest of ensuring that our leaders are exemplary in following the rules and to strengthen public confidence in our electoral process, publish the academic certificates and credentials submitted by every candidate seeking elective office?

Transparency strengthens democracy and builds public trust. Nigeria’s problems are too serious for politics as usual. It is time for leadership defined by competence, character, capacity, compassion, and commitment to service.

Owning Up to Leadership Failures and Political Responsibility

This morning, I listened to the British Prime Minister’s speech announcing his planned resignation in July. As a keen observer of global politics, my primary interest lies in examining what successful nations do right and the structural factors that cause others to lag or struggle with governance and development.

The Prime Minister’s planned resignation comes amid mounting public frustration over a stagnant economy, a worsening cost-of-living crisis, and a perceived failure to honour key campaign pledges.

Looking inward in our dear country, we can recall our own situation. Before 2015, our President on several occasions championed the call for the then President Goodluck Jonathan to resign over economic hardship and insecurity affecting Nigerians. During the Chibok school kidnapping incident, he demanded the immediate resignation of President Jonathan, arguing that the government had failed in its most fundamental duty of protecting lives.

During the 2023 election campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made several promises, including improved electricity supply. He also challenged the electorate not to vote for him for a second term if he failed to deliver on those commitments—particularly in providing stable power, fighting corruption, and improving the welfare of Nigerians.

At present, however, these conditions have worsened. Electricity supply remains unreliable, insecurity has intensified in many areas, including kidnappings, and economic hardship has deepened rather than eased. Similar concerns are reflected across other critical sectors such as security, infrastructure, transportation, and anti-corruption efforts, all of which have regressed. We are in the worst possible condition.

I, therefore, join Nigerians of goodwill in calling for the resignation of the President over monumental failure in governance. Such a gesture would help enthrone a political culture rooted in accountability and responsibility, rather than further entrenching impunity. It would also send a powerful message that public office is a sacred trust, not an entitlement, and help build a society in which future leaders understand that failure carries consequences. Only by ending the culture of impunity can we secure a better future for the society our children will inherit in a New Nigeria that is possible. -PO
