ONE PIECE INVERSION THREAD CHAPTER 1087:

Like grandfather, like grandson! Luffy and Garp using the same tactic to take down "invisible" enemies, just in opposite circumstances!

This scene directly parallels, and will likely invert, the destruction of Ohara's escape ship.

Next week's chapter could be very interesting - Aokiji could end up stopping Pizarro and sectioning off Garp for a duel to the death, finishing the Luffy/Zoro thread.

In this same encounter, as Luffy and his crew were attempting to leave Water 7, Garp tried to crush the ship with his massive ball and chain.

Now, as Garp's ship is trying to escape, it's under a similar threat.

But I'm not quite sold that this is the full inversion.
