Scott Harris said the Tigers once offered Tarik Skubal an extension, to no avail.
Scott Boras says that offer was in 2024, for four years and $75M.
It all led to a consequential trade deadline.

Scott Harris said the Tigers approached Tarik Skubal once with a contract extension offer.
Harris said Scott Boras made it clear he intended to go to free agency.
"We explored an extension once. The response I received from Tarik's agent was ... very clear from the exchange what the intentions were, and he deserved it. I expect him to be a free agent."
Tigers on the verge of splitting with the worst team in the AL as their 38M pitcher struggles again? Letโs pan to Logan Reaver scarfing down coney dogs after 5 innings of mystery guests and useless segments! Great broadcast guys! @WatchDSN
Real people thought this guy was part of the core ๐
Completely valueless player, especially for someone with someone with relatively high expectations.
@ComericaPark literally nobody appreciates your constant pumped in stadium noise and your gameday entertainment as a whole takes away from the experience for the fans that actually want to watch the game
I know the people in stadium entertainment operations work hard and some fans probably enjoy that stuff.
But man, it's such a breath of fresh air to watch a game where the baseball is the product. The pregame and in-game programming here is very, very minimal by design.
