@The_Atom_RP "That sounds like a fantastic story, and I'd love to hear it if we survive this!"
Suddenly, Jayne dove onto the large snake, wrapped her arms around its neck, just below its powerful jaws.
@The_Atom_RP As the lift ascended, Jayne looked from the Raccoon to Ray and almost said /what the hell/.
Instead, before she had the chance, she was forced to dive to the ground as the giant snake crashed through the building.
"Thats it! I'm leaving this damn city!"
@The_Atom_RP "Could they have what?" Jayne calmed down once the raccoon was normal sized, and now following them around.
"Hey, Atom. Is...is um...is that an eye?"
She gestured vaguely at the goo pile. In spite of all the gruesome deaths she had seen, this made her feel sick.
@The_Atom_RP "White dwarf star energy. Because this is how I envisioned my double homicide going."
Jayne continued to look around, then stopped, looking eye to eye with a huge raccoon.
"Im gonna level with you. THIS IS NOT OK!"
@The_Atom_RP "Oh my god, even you hero types have heard." Jayne sighed heavily.
"I guess changing precincts would do nothing to help that."
She side eyed Ray.
"Yeah. Sure. I'll autograph your underwear." In a tone that was impossible to tell if she was joking or not.
@The_Atom_RP "It would be more entertaining than watching me wander around, talking to myself."
She casually glanced at her shoulder, where he sat.
"I never told you my name, how'd you know?" She was a plain clothes detective.
@The_Atom_RP "Like an old man on viagra." Jayne giggled and looked around.
Hearing him clear his throat, the detective looked to Ray.
"So how will we know?"
@The_Atom_RP "Theres a basement, you know. Used to be a bomb shelter. From there you can access the cistern for the fire suppression system."
Jayne paused.
"Wait, if there's a spike of energy, that means someone has tech like yours, right? Or maybe it was you."
