@GamedayByu@wylle6@tjmcaulay Looked like he started trying to chest pass the ball before contact was made and that it was tipped or the contact caused it to go backwards. Could be wrong though. Just my two cents.
@james_doak11268 If you’re a runner, you’re correct. The rule is different for a receiver who has not taken 2+ steps and made a football move. You have to survive the ground without losing the ball.
@GamedayByu@tjmcaulay Can’t be a fumble his forward throwing motion started already. And not a backwards pass because contact after that throwing motion started is what caused the deflection/backward movement
