Just applied to @devrelcon NYC with a topic I’m really excited about - one that’s very close to how I think about the future of content and DevRel in the AI era🤞

The crew from @MLHacks was kind enough to invite me to this year’s @devrelcon to share why I chose a career of serving developers and the video of my talk is now live!

I’m not sure there’s been a talk in my career I’ve prepped harder for. Hope you enjoy!

✨🙌 AI is transforming every aspect of developer experience, giving developer relations teams bandwidth to focus on the parts that *truly* matter – and the community-building behaviors that have historically been very difficult to scale.

Love the work the @MLHacks team is doing to get these tools and models into the hands of devs, and to educate folks on how to accelerate and augment their technical work.

✨ Just wrapped up an incredible two days at @devrelcon , and I’m leaving inspired, informed, and energized.

This conference was a masterclass in how AI is transforming developer relations, from LLMs and documentation to SEO and education.

A few key takeaways that really stuck with me:

🧠 LLMs need excellent documentation. If you're fine-tuning models without a strong foundation of clear, structured content, you're setting yourself up for frustration.

🤖 AI in DevRel is everywhere, from community Q&A copilots to onboarding flows, companies are finding creative ways to meet devs where they are.

📈 SEO is evolving, we're not just optimizing for search engines anymore. It's about optimizing for AI assistants, multimodal content, and intent.

🎓 Dev education is changing, “vibe coding” and hands-on, creator-led learning are reshaping how people enter the field and stay engaged.

Beyond the insights, it was the people who made DevRelCon truly special. I'm deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to chat with me, share advice, make introductions to hiring teams, or offer encouragement during my job search. Your kindness and support truly meant the world.

Special thanks to Jeff Bull, Stefany Bogatan, Ptah Dunbar, ✨Lauren Lee, Steve Chen, Sarah Jane (SJ) Morris, Richard Choi, and Wayne Jones, just a few of the many incredible folks I had the pleasure of connecting with.

And a huge shoutout to Mike Swift and the DevRelCon team for organizing such a thoughtful and impactful event. Thank you for having me!

Let’s keep the conversations going. I’m still exploring new roles in DevRel, Documentation, and Community Leadership. If we were to connect, I’d love to stay in touch. And if we didn’t, let’s fix that. 💬
