The She Code Africa Summit 2026 left me with many memories, but one moment felt deeply personal.

Seeing my community, @CCChampionsC4, recognized as a partner alongside global brands was both humbling and inspiring.

What made it even more special was the journey behind it.

In 2023, when I had just fully transitioned into cybersecurity, a friend introduced me to the She Code Africa community. Even though I remained a silent member, it has been one of the communities I have admired greatly ever since.

Fast forward to 2026.

The community I found, @CCChampionsC4 , was recognized as a Community Partner for the @SheCodeAfrica Summit 2026.

At the summit, I spoke with several university students studying Computer Science who shared their interest in transitioning into cybersecurity. We talked about learning paths, opportunities, and the uncertainty that often comes with starting a career in the field. As we spoke, I told them about the work we're doing at @CCChampionsC4, shared the link to our ongoing application call, and encouraged them to apply.

Later that day, I paused to reflect on how much had changed. Just a few years ago, I was the one searching for opportunities (not like I've stopped 😁). Now, I have the privilege of creating and sharing them.

As I continue to reflect on this chain of events while advancing in my career, I am grateful for the opportunity to pour into others, just as so many people have poured into me.
