Letter of Protest:

I, Javed Ahmad Beigh, an Indian Kashmiri Muslim from India's Kashmir Valley, which is part of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on behalf of nearly 14 million people of J&K including 10 million Muslim citizens of J&K take very strong objection to Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issuing a biased and partisan and one sided statement that reflects factually false and flawed official stand of the government of Pakistan on the issue of the accession of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir with the dominion of India on October 27 1947, when Maharaja Hari Singh, the ruler of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir signed the "instrument of accession" with the Indian government that legally merged ENTIRE princely state of Jammu and Kashmir with the union of India.

The wording of the statement issued by the OIC sounds like a letter dictated to the officials of the General Secretariate of the OIC by the Pakistani diplomats.

It is shocking to see that the OIC is acting like a lackey and proxy of Pakistan, parroting lies peddled by the state of Pakistan.

The former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir legally merged with the union of India. The country that acted illegally was the newly created Pakistan that sent tribal militias along with Pakistani Army regulars in disguise to illegally capture the entire princely state of Jammu and Kashmir and illegally merge it with Pakistan.

Pakistan through its invaders managed to illegally occupy vast swaths of former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir including Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Pakistan Occupied Gilgit and Baltistan (PoGB), which continue to remain under illegal occupation of Pakistan till this day.

We, the people of India's Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir strongly object to the use of words like "right to self determination" and "relevant UN Security Council resolutions" by the OIC in its statement. The OIC in its pathetic display of peddling to Pakistani narrative has forgotten international laws of diplomacy.

After the signing of the "Shimla Agreement" on 2nd July 1972 between India and broken Pakistan (former West Pakistan), the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir ceased to have any legal validity and Pakistan was obligated to have any discussions whatsoever on Kashmir only bilaterally with India, without any legal scope of internation from either UN Security Council or any other third party.

As an Indian Kashmiri Muslim, I must also remind the OIC that the only dispute that exists between India and Pakistan relating to Kashmir is about the modalities of Pakistan vacating its illegal occupation of PoGB and PoJK, which it orchestrated through its invaders in 1947 back to India and their respective mergers with Indian Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, respectively.

The OIC is urged to take good note that there is no "right of self determination" that has to have on Kashmir. The entire Kashmir Valley became part of the Union of India on 27th October 1947 in a full-fledged legal manner through legal documents. It is a done deal.

Finally, rather than shamelessly acting as a spokesperson of Pakistan, the OIC, which is supposed to represent the interests of Muslims of ummah and not the state of Pakistan, must condemn continuing support of terrorism by the state of Pakistan in India's Kashmir Valley.

The Muslims of Kashmir valley have paid a very deadly price for 3 decades of Pakistani sponsored acts of terror and if the OIC cannot bring itself to condemn Pakistan for that then it is a useless organization for us Indian Kashmiri Muslims.

We, Indian Kashmiri Muslims are proud and honorary citizens of India and the Pakistani lackey, the OIC is advised not to poke its biased nose in matters of Indian Kashmiri Muslims.

Jhanpreet Singh, an Indian national from Punjab, has been arrested in the incident.
