We spend too much time trying to reach other people's standards, and too little time defining our own.

It's better to disappoint another person than to lead a life that disappoints you.

Success is not about meeting someone else's expectations. It's about living up to yours.

But guess, who hasn't after countless such episodes over at least 2 decades?

26 years ago, a gunman entered
Dunblane Primary School in Scotland,
killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK
govt responded by enacting tight gun
control legislation. In the 9400+ days
since, there have been a total of O
school shootings in the UK. #Uvalde

My spouse received a mail from the foreign office in Germany in March, saying consent has been given for my visa. Why then am I not hearing anything from @GermanyinMumbai? Please, kindly give me an update. This wait is agonizing...

[Devika Shanbhag @DevikaShanbhag]

For eight months, I have called the Mum Consulate office, followed up on email, only to be given responses such as "pls wait for a mail reply in 3 working days", "delay due to Covid", etc. I am upset, distressed.

What is the value of a perfect night-sky?
In Ladakh, where Indian and Chinese soldiers are clashing and dying, another endeavour carries on along the LAC. Some of the highest-built observatories in the world are probing the universe, through India’s clearest night-sky. (1/n)

I was almost mourning the death of the Oxford comma, and then saw this. _/\_

My new favorite defense of the Oxford comma. Long live the Oxford comma!
