This was a great opportunity for our representatives. For the past 18 months being ignored was more painful than being stranded, now that you’ve given us this opportunity we feel like we got a voice. Can’t thank @ShashiTharoor enough for listening to us and understanding.
An intensive two-hour “Meet the Public” session at the Thiruvananthapuram District Congress Committee office (conducted with appropriate Covid protocols and masking) gave me a chance to receive a number of petitions and even to sign a book for a devoted reader.
@SISA79454637 It is equally sad and frightening to learn that the students after their course can’t apply bridge visa offshore and it might take around 11 months for the processing of visa 485. Students with loan will be affected most as the moratorium period will be wasted.
We highly recommend those students who are in their final months of their sub-class 500 to engage with your university agents and chalk out a plan of action like extension of 500, LOA etc. before your census date.
Issued in our community’s interest and awareness. #letusbacktoaus
Students who packed bags to fly closer to their dreams are now concerned as their runway to take off is closed. The students are now prepping to face the results of this step rather than planning further.
Thanks to @karankelra for sharing his artwork with us.

The world is moving forward with masks, sanitisers, vaccines and the emergence of new variants as the new normal. If the art of co-existing with coronavirus is yet not practised, there won't be any students left for returning.

It's been more than 15 months, yet the students don't know when they could return. They have been told that "The students will be allowed entry back to the country when it is safe to do so",
........When will it be safe enough for their return?.......
Could Australia fall behind competitors like Canada who are welcoming international students in the long-term?
