@DivideGaming21 Thinking it objectively, nowhere has it been said they don't want a Destiny 3, and the vast majority of the people working on Destiny right now are not the original ones, so it makes sense they depart from the current game and people to be able to start a new one from scratch
@Bjas420@DestinyBulletn Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but XBOX has done 10 times worse with layoffs and studio closures, not to mention, the dire financial situation their own CEO exposed about a week ago
@vuullets The people that actually made Destiny is long gone, they started leaving the studio years ago, and Sony would not sell the IP, it's not like anyone can buy it if the owner doesn't want to sell it
@RinoTheBouncer Making them political stages instead of entertaining platforms meant to make you dream, fantasize and forget for a while of the real world
@aimkeyx@EmbarkStudios It being a lesser cheat compared to let's say dupes or wall hacks, doesn't mean it's not a cheat, rightful ban, third party crosshairs are still unfair advantage.
@MissPookems Skyrim, but in my defense I tried to jump in at the end of PS4 cycle and the lack of mods in console and aging of the engine kept me from getting into the game
@VivaLaDoctor it's not a matter of thinking, you can have your opinion and I can have mine, but people playing it right now is a proven fact that people is willing to return to the game, and factually, there's definitely more interest from people in Destiny than Marathon
@VivaLaDoctor So finally, Destiny profitability is there and it is what the number of players paint, if Bungie gives the Destiny community what they want, the IP will be profitable again, and that's what the metric proves
@VivaLaDoctor It was still above Marathon numbers before EOS, and you're missing the point, this is the amount of people willing to return at Destiny's worst, and buy more Destiny if good content is released, proving it could and will be profitable if you give to your audience what they want
@VivaLaDoctor While Destiny officially has brought $2.4B since it's beginnings and even after going F2P, costing, accounting all expansions before EOS and the Star Wars one $700M, so maybe the TFS layoffs where because Marathon's investment played a role on financial woes for Bungie
@VivaLaDoctor Since you bring so much numbers, get this and both are unofficial but reportedly very close to reality numbers, Marathon costed $200M just in development, not accounting marketing, and sold only 1.5 M copies, that's $60M at full price, it's a massive financial shortfall
@VivaLaDoctor And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Marathon is bad or that one needs to die for the other one to exist, variety is good and I think objectively that Marathon isn't good product, but in the same way it's objectively not what will keep Bungie afloat
@VivaLaDoctor And despite of it, one pulled more people than the other one, for any business lead and audience is very important to make money, and it's silly not to acknowledge which of the 2 IPs is reaching more people
@VivaLaDoctor It proves amount of people interested on each game, Marathon in it's best moment in terms of playability (servers, gameplay) and content with people who support it very happy, and Destiny at its worse in the same terms with people not happy at lack of content and state of game

@1GamewithDave1 Has nothing to do with playing female lead, hence the success of games like Tomb Raider, Metroid or Bayonetta to mention a few, the problem is the removal of an established male character in favor of a female one in an already established franchise with a male lead
