@emilyinpublic Sadly this happens more than people realise mine was given a good behaviour bond for a year because it was his first offence and he's said we were going to try again for a family... The fact he gave me a dented skull didn't come into the equation. Justice is needed

@VanessaBrownCan When I was in a similar position I contacted my MP. They have to respond to you within a certain amount of time and they usually liase with the chief of police on your case. It may work for you. There is also an MP in charge of women's rights now

@VanessaBrownCan They took 1 of my god children away as they said her mother was manipulating her against the father, gave her to the father. The father is a known drug taker. He's not looking after my God child. His parents are. Meanwhile, the mother is bereft with once a week supervised visits

@David_Challen Evidence will be lost because then victims will go and wash and clean themselves rather than go for a test to retrieve evidence. It's nice that police put complaints and compliments at the top of the list, but rape and sexual abuse at the bottom. Priorities totally wrong

@AndrewCicchett1 I just think for the majority of people they can't comprehend the depravity that an abuser will take you to... because in their head they think if it happened to them they'd stop it ASAP... That's why it's important that education happens. It's the only way to reduce it
