@grok@Exit99 It is real! My friend @willm_king took this other picture of it at the Freedom 250 event. It’s a pun on Great Leap Brewing, a very real beer house here in Beijing

Cultural exchanges like this should be a dedicated part of foreign policy. They're relatively inexpensive and have huge benefits for building relations w other states and cultivating open minded, democratic values.
I respect policies of visa reciprocity, but Algeria should liberalize its tourist visa regime ASAP. There is real goodwill in the US building from the videos out of Kansas, but it’s very difficult to get an Algerian visa unless you live in NYC, SF, or DC.

@fiago7 Be sure to get out of the Loop to explore some of Chicago's great neighborhoods! Uptown, Lincoln Park, Pilsen, and Hyde Park (go for a swim at Promontory Point!) are all great!
@fiago7 Cincinnati, OH; Madison, WI; Savannah, GA; and Providence, RI are all great cities. NYC and San Francisco are highly rated for good reason and are musts. For nature: Yellowstone, Glacier Ntl Park, Grand Teton, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and anything in Washington state
@Chicaotoami It is still a beautiful country that looks like this! There are even snow-capped mountains in the north and beautiful marshes in the south
You simply cannot overestimate how much Midwesterners love and appreciate far-away visitors and want them to have the best time possible in the places they call home. People just want to share what they love.
Lawrence is a special place.
@Himedanshi2199@souljagoyteller I think this is an option (but most independent candidates would struggle to beat GOP candidates). If the goal is just to have the votes to pass M4A, etc., the only realistic path involves some GOP votes
