@Uber_Support Left luggage in truck of Uber this AM. Ten min later realized, started calling through app. No response from driver. Chat tried calling him also, no response. Now I am supposed to wait 24hrs??
I am relieved the Provincial Government is no longer considering changes to tenant “security of tenure” - which would have been catastrophic for the 50% of Torontonians who rent their homes, and a victory for large corporate landlords. The credit goes to the tenant organizations who have made renters' voices heard.
The rest of Bill 60 still includes an erosion of renter’s rights at the LTB, as well as less compensation for a tenant evicted through no fault of their own. The Province should scrap those changes, bring back rent control for all units, and strengthen tenant rights.
People deserve a safe, secure and affordable roof over their heads.
@RobFlackEML Shame on you all for considering this. Landlords get to raise rent every year, but 311 and the LTTB give millions of chances and months to get them to mow the lawn or repair basic building needs.
@feederofcats@feederofcats What litter would you suggest for two gentlemen who stink up the joint? Worlds Best has been my preference for our apartment, but I think I need to switch.
Ann Pornel in @TorontoStar on “Run the Burbs” cancellation and the sorry state of current Canadian tv. Didn’t realize that “Shelved” and “One More Time” were also axed. Sucks all round.
