Got to break the camera out for a visit to Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge In Central Texas this weekend while visiting family! That makes my second trip this year to a National Wildlife Refuge, the first being Wichita in Oklahoma.
NOPE
I was desperate to find wildlife on my trip to the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge. In my search, I had found some... droppings... which grew fresher and fresher the more I hiked. I eventually found a family of longhorns, all enjoying a morning graze next to a creek. (1/3)
Through the Weeds
While driving through the winding roads of the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge, I spotted some friendly longhorns grazing for their morning meal. This guy caught me taking photos and struck a pose! I remained in my vehicle, so no disturbance occurred. (1/2)
There's a lot I do at work and I don't always get to post about it, but I always enjoy participating in the annual Point-In-Time Count. This Count, conducted all across the country, works to connect unsheltered individuals to resources and develop data.
I really enjoyed visiting the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma and the Copper Breaks State Park in Texas for another round of wildlife and nature photography! Photos are already up on my page, but stay tuned here for some great shots! #DSP

I'm so glad to see an organization in Dallas that's prioritizing the advancement of human rights. Human rights face unique challenges, and communities are the last line of defense. Human Rights Dallas, led by Dr. Rick Halperin of SMU and Hadi Jawad, is one I highly recommend! +
