@Urban__Designer @DavidSpereall It’s a timing /sequencing question. Having to redact comments prior to publication is a big resourcing demand at a point in the process when no one needs to be looking at that application. I empathise with LPAs taking this decision. I’ve seen this with London boroughs too.

In a 2 tier area Counties could perform part of this role, but with ltd capacity, how do we establish impactful innovation?

@benhoward_w @LAnderson_Frank They charge for pre-apps, not apps. Costs of processing “permits” for development under whatever guise are being more fully passed to the applicant. Will this change expectations re performance? Will income need to be spent on resourcing as at LPAs? Is the capacity there?

Pedantry I know, but the Teignbridge LP hasn’t been delayed, council approval for consultation was put back a month but reg 19 consultation happened as planned…and the council is currently Lib Dem run. #planning #nppf #localplan

@PeteJBadger I understand site plans will come through to lpas as data not pdfs meaning an split connector can more accurately plot red lines- leading to better validation, faster processing and hopefully improved decisions. Given the realatively small sums involved, is it not good value?
