Price of onion in 2022 - Rs 10-12 per kg
Garlic in 2011 - Rs 40 per kg
Garlic in 2022 - Rs 5 per kg
Considering inflation it is not going in right direction.

Current wholesale price of garlic, onion & potatoes compared with production cost is total loss to farmers.Govt. should do more to ensure that people stick to agriculture.If current situation persist India might have to import them after 1-2 decades @narendramodi @nstomar

1/ Concentration of activity in industry and agriculture (even coffee shops!) is justified by economic theory on the grounds of economies of scale.

That's the idea that the per unit cost of a product drops with rising scale of production. It is true to a point but oversold.
