Gavin Newsom vetoed a telework bill that was backed by labor unions that would've required state agencies to justify demands for employees to work in person, and would've made the costs and benefits of telework more transparent.

SEIU Local 1000, which represents about 100,000 state employees, is asking members to authorize a strike over disagreements including pay and remote work.

Roads, schools, healthcare, public safety, infrastructure, and services that make a functioning society possible.

Taxes aren’t supposed to be a billionaire’s personal piggy bank or a blank check for corporate power and political influence.

We pay into society, and society should work for the people! Not just the people sitting at the top of the f*cking pile.
