$IONQ My new video illustrates @HannaSuds report on IonQ's acquisition of Elisity. Her analysis goes past the headline and connects the threat, the technology, the calendar, the market and the price into one argument. Here is how I read it.
It starts with the threat. Chinese and Russian services are already harvesting encrypted data to decrypt later, and as Hanna puts it, "encrypted data stolen today is a quantum loss already in progress." Niccolo de Masi warns that "Q-Day is coming much faster than predicted."
Against that threat, IonQ had built the strongest quantum-safe portfolio in the industry, but one layer was still missing, "the layer adversaries exploit first": identity-based Zero Trust, meaning control over who and what can reach what inside a network. Elisity brings exactly that. With it, IonQ covers all six layers of quantum-era security, 12 of 12 on Hanna's scoring, and no commercial rival reaches 7. The only comparable stack belongs to the Chinese state.
The timing comes from a fixed calendar. More than 25 countries and blocs have post-quantum dates between 2026 and 2035: U.S. agencies must file migration plans by October 22, 2026, and NATO plans a quantum-resilient pilot between its headquarters and SHAPE by Q4 2027. Regulators are converging on one playbook: inventory, contain, migrate and verify. Every program starts with inventory, and in her words "the first window, now under way, belongs to the layer Elisity sells." The need is real. The GAO found that 23 of 24 major federal agencies lacked a documented cryptographic inventory process.
That is why the market opens so wide. By Hanna's estimates, IonQ's core market rises to $18–44B by 2030, inside a quantum-safe market of $36–65B by 2030 and $94–161B by 2035. Just 1% of that core would equal roughly 40–97% of IonQ's 2026 revenue guidance.
Elisity already delivers. St. Luke's segmented 85,000 devices in 46 days. GSK cut a project from $200M to $50M. Elisity has 100+ deployments, with revenue doubling year over year and zero churn.
The terms are disciplined: all-stock, a collar capping dilution, an earnout tying part of the price to performance, and about $2B in cash kept for building. On her illustration, the deal breaks even on revenue per share at about $26–40M of Elisity revenue, which a business doubling every year should reach within about a year.
Niccolo summed it up on Bloomberg: "we are unequivocally, we believe, the leading quantum security company now in the Western world."
What I take from Hanna's work is that this goes beyond a market position. It gives allied governments and critical infrastructure "a network they can see, control and protect end to end, supplied by a trusted partner rather than an adversary's carrier."
Thank you Hanna for this remarkable report. Full analysis:

The irony of Republicans trying to attach the “SAVE Act” to a bill (NDAA) that betrays our sovereignty by merging our military technology and supply lines with a country of 10 million people that’s been at war with its own citizens for its 78 year existence.
Who are we SAVE-ing?

Americans do not want to go to war with Iran!!!
They want to be able to afford their lives and get ahead.
They want to be happy and enjoy life.
They want their government to put elite pedos in jail.
And they voted for NO MORE FOREIGN WARS AND NO MORE REGIME CHANGE.
How it feels to return to your 9-5 after discovering the entire system is a CIA psyop and that we are ruled by satanic p*dos that eat babies and I still have to pay taxes

The White House just announced they are going to send more weapons to Ukraine. They are also considering an amnesty plan for illegals. And it turns out the Epstein files were just an urban legend. I did not vote for this.
