@BlondeBomb72 Is he wrong though? I know many senior citizens and retirees that have openly come out and said that no income tax will not benefit them because they don't pay it and that's why they don't want it to pass. I was happy when they stopped taxing y'all's Social Security in '24, btw.

@derShasta @JohnRMBR911 Missouri is a state with tax lockbox. Which is exactly why our lawmakers had to put Amendment 5 on the ballot—they literally do not have the legal power to rebalance the state's checkbook without a green light from the public. They need voter approval to eliminate income tax

@derShasta @JohnRMBR911 This is not true at all. Missouri lawmakers cannot eliminate the state income tax on their own without voter approval because doing so requires amending the state constitution, and any significant tax shifts trigger mandatory voter protections. Please stop spreading lies.
