@annieprideRTR Hilariously ironic high horse from the Alabama contingent when Alabama Basketball is bringing back players who left college altogether to go play pro.
Maybe we can all just agree the college sports dynamic has permanently changed and carry on. Adapt or cry about it
@Brett_McMurphy@AnwarRichardson This is shots fired at every B12 school on Texas Tech's schedule. Sark's saying his 2's or 3's can beat all those schools 1's
@walls_edward Bc the pie of money that fuels college football - and by proxy the rest of college sports - is from conference specific media rights deals
@brettyormark@Big12Conference@CodyC64
This is propaganda. There's no denying it. @espn comparing rรฉsumรฉs of teams on the bubble is great content. Sure, let's compare teams currently ranked 8-14.
Deliberately not including @BYUfootball & @Utah_Football is not an accident.
@realpeteyb123 I'd be interested in integrating this into what I do. Would you share a description or workout plan that's specific just to use of the bosu ball for core training?
@franfraschilla This is the biggest problem w/both sports. With football, it's self-confirming bias. #10 beats #5, but 5 doesn't drop far bc they couldn't possibly be worse than previously thought ๐
Prob shouldn't have polls until 50% of conf play is complete, but TV needs to hype matchups
@ClintFiore I've never understood how it's even possible. I've had to implement fraud protection with the IRS on my SSN for 10+ years since I was informed someone else was using my SSN for work. How TF could that pass even the simplest check if their name wouldn't match up? Broken system
- Create BCS-like algo & make a rating for all D1 teams. 0 biased metrics. No AP Poll. The CFP Rating.
- The 8 P4 conf champ participants all make the playoff. Winners get T4 seeds/byes.
- Final 4 spots go to remaining schools with highest CFP rating. 1 spot must be best G5 team.
Thereโs a relatively simple fix to the College Football playoff system.
1. Get rid of the selection committee. They will always be biased no matter what gimmick they come up with for leaving their biases at the door.
2. Get rid of the idea of โbestโ 12 teams. Itโs far too large a pool of teams to know exactly which ones are the best 12 teams. The best team doesnโt necessarily win the Super Bowl and nobody belly aches.
3. Clearly define a college football playoff algorithm that accounts for the different schedules. Maybe like the BCS computer rankings did. The bias is causing the turmoil unnecessarily. Either you meet the criteria or you donโt and it isnโt up to a selection committee.
