Shocking Incident at Pune’s Renowned Santosh Bakery: Ants Found in Patties, Video Goes Viral

A shocking lapse in hygiene has come to light at a well-known bakery on Pune’s busy Sinhgad Road, a favorite spot among Punekars. Ants were found in patties purchased from the famous Santosh Bakery, causing public outrage. A video showing the unhygienic condition is now rapidly going viral on social media.

A vigilant resident from the Sinhgad Road area had ordered patties from Santosh Bakery through the Zomato app for breakfast. However, before eating, the customer noticed ants inside the patties. Disturbed by the sight, the customer recorded a video and raised serious questions about the bakery’s cleanliness standards.

The video clearly shows ants crawling both inside and on the surface of the patties. Expressing anger, the customer questioned, “If such unhygienic conditions exist in a bakery considered reputed, what about the health of common citizens?”

Speaking to Pune Mirror, the bakery owner admitted that the mistake occurred because the worker handling the parcel was new and it was a busy Sunday. The owner stated that it was an error on the worker’s part and added that an apology has been conveyed to the concerned customer.
