Short Service Commissioned Officers of the Indian Army served where it mattered most➡️on the Line of Control➡️in counter-insurgency➡️in unforgiving high altitudes.

They led men, took risks and gave their youth to the nation.

And then….they returned to civilian life with no pension, limited support and little recognition. The same men who once earned their bread on the LoC now earn it on city streets….quietly with dignity.

They had families to feed and responsibilities to shoulder. There was no luxury of time or energy to fight long legal battles. No bandwidth to go to courts and no strength left to chase rights…..they chose to stand up again and rebuild their lives from scratch.

They never fought the system. They never protested. They simply did their job….they are a minuscule minority actually too small to be a vote bank….too few for anyone to take up their cause. No courts….no advocate, no political voice….and they remain unheard….perhaps the most unsung heroes, who served fully and then silently disappeared into the crowd.

A nation that truly respects its soldiers must ask….Who speaks for those who never spoke for themselves?

Respect cannot remain symbolic..,it must translate into support, structure and fairness.

Unfortunately their service ended….their struggle didn’t

I fully endorse your views on this issue. On one hand the Govt says that it is ready to do anything for the Soldiers and on the other hand, it does JUST NOTHING when the Soldiers are assaulted by the Civil Police, the employees of the Govt Departments seek bribe from the Soldiers for doing their work for which these Departments are paid for by the Govt, Govt declares imposition of Income Tax on Disabled Soldiers and the Toll Tax people repeatedly misbehave with the Soldiers. The moment you speak something in favour of the Soldiers, the IT Cell of the Govt gets after us. A very sad State of Affairs.....

Rule says that Indian Army Toll Act of 1901 is a special Act which over rides general Acts which you guys are quoting.

You can go through this court judgement, it's simple english.

Mr whoever, before you attempt to sermonize on morality…at least acquaint yourself with facts.

➡️You mocked a serving Army officer at a toll plaza. Let’s begin there. A serving officer of the Indian Army, a man who has signed up for unlimited liability…which means he pledges his life to the nation without bargaining terms. His salary is not charity. It is his lawful entitlement in exchange for a profession where the ultimate price is death... Sneering at his pay (1L -2L) reflects more about your mindset than about his service.

➡️Then you chose to comment on the SUV he drives as though you personally financed it….Officers take bank loans like any other citizen. They pay EMIs…They manage households and live within their means. Owning a car is not a crime, it is not a moral failing as was depicted by you… The attempt to insinuate privilege simply because he wears a uniform is shallow.

➡️You called him “off-duty.” That statement alone exposes ignorance….The Supreme Court has already clarified in multiple contexts that a member of the Armed Forces is never truly off duty in the way civilians understand it. A soldier remains bound by service law, conduct rules & operational recall at all times. Make yourself wise…that on leave he remains subject to military discipline and can be called back at a moment’s notice. Words matter…,Use them responsibly.

➡️Then comes the toll narrative. He did not refuse to pay toll. He was interacting with the toll staff and asserting what he believed to be his lawful position. Whether one agrees with him or not, there is a difference between a discussion and a refusal. That distinction seems to have been conveniently erased to create outrage….not too sure how were you benefited?

You further said, “I hope the top brass is watching.” What exactly were you implying? That a serving officer should be intimidated publicly? That engaging in a disagreement at a toll booth is some grave misconduct? If you have an allegation…state it clearly. If not, vague insinuations only reveal malice…what did you earn by all this?

➡️And calling what the officer and his wife were doing “nonsense”? That choice of language betrays intent….Criticism is one thing. Demeaning tone directed at uniformed personnel and their families is quite another….who paid you for doing all this? Were you seeking followers?

Disagreement is healthy in a democracy, mockery without facts is not….Critique policy, critique rules, critique systems …but do not distort events and then manufacture moral superiority.

If you are going to quote someone, quote them with context. If you are going to question a soldier’s conduct, do so with evidence…. if you are going to speak of honor, understand first what it means to sign a document that binds you to unlimited liability in service of the nation….too much for you??

Debate honestly…..Or don’t debate at all.

Grant of NFU: It has been observed that certain senior Army Officers, who are already in receipt of the NFU since the Sixth CPC, are more focussed on propagating factually incorrect things about the concept of NFU while playing Golf rather than focussing on their putt. This is to clarify once in for all that NFU and MSP are two completely different things. Grant of NFU is neither remotely related, nor affected by MSP & vice-versa. Please don't believe in such rumours and analyse the two concepts yourself.

NFU Matter: The skeletons are tumbling out, though slowly. Lt Gen Rakesh Sharma as the Adjutant General was the bloke who put up note that the Army doesn't need NFU because he was dreaming of becoming Vice Chancellor of the National Defence University, post his retirement. Evidence is available to substantiate the fact that he opposed.

The Grant of NFU to Armed Forces will help in bringing back the status equivalence of Armed Forces with Civil Services and improve the overall morale of the Armed Forces Officers.
We are ready to personally interact and satisfy any doubts/questions/inhibitions about NFU. Please DO NOT oppose the grant of something JUST because of some misunderstandings about the concept, which can be easily clarified. I reiterate, grant of NFU to Armed Forces will NOT cause any Command & Control issues in our existing command structure.

Let's not get misguided by those few who have vested interests in opposing Status Equivalence.

Our Identity, Our Pride: The Forgotten Names of Bharat!

Ever wondered why the names of our cities sound so different from what’s written in our ancient scriptures?

It really makes you think about our "Right to Identity" and the history we’ve been carrying for centuries.

While the places mentioned in the Bible or Quran still exist by those same names today, many locations from our Upanishads, Mahabharat, and Ramayan seem to have vanished from the modern map.

But they didn't actually disappear they were just renamed by various invaders over time.

Just look at how the geography has changed:
- Tilprasth was turned into Faridabad.
- Gajprasth was changed to Ghaziabad.
- ndraprasth became Delhi.
- The ancient state of Panchal, home to Draupadi, was renamed Farrukhabad.

From Prayag becoming Allahabad to Ayodhya being called Faizabad, the list of changes is quite long.

Even sacred sites like Kirtishwari Shaktipeeth were renamed Murshidabad, and Jamadagnipuram became Jaunpur.

This isn't just about changing names on a signboard; it’s about our Right to Dignity and our Right to Religion.

Our cities carry the soul of our entire civilization, and it’s time we recognize their true identity once again.

It's time to reclaim our heritage and speak the truth about our roots. What do you think?
