If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the pictures drawn by Acharya Nandlal Bose in the original Constitution are emphatic statement of the intent of our founding fathers to establish a republic based on Dharma.
The original Constitution of India contains hand drawn illustrations by Acharya Nandlal Bose. The illustrations, appearing at the beginning of each part of the Constitution, represent the glorious history of Bharat-varsh chronologically, right from the days of Sindhu-Saraswati.
A thousand years ago, the first of many attacks on Somnath took place. Those who kept engaging in such attacks believed they could shatter the ethos of our land. But, they were wrong. Thanks to fiercely courageous children of Bharat Mata, Somnath kept getting rebuilt.
Seventy-five years ago on this day, the doors of the newly rebuilt Somnath Temple opened in the presence of the then President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, proclaiming to the world that while the attackers have faded into the dust of history, the soul of Bharat endures.
Somnath stands tall and eternal. It showcases our civilisational courage and our unbroken devotion. May the blessings of Mahadev always remain upon us all.

Funding the Adversary: Since Prime Minister Modi took office in 2014, India’s trade deficit with China — its principal strategic rival — has nearly tripled. Newly released figures show that in fiscal year 2025-2026, China’s trade surplus with India rose to $112.2 billion. By comparison, India’s total defense spending is about $75 billion.
In effect, India is transferring more net capital to China through trade than it spends on the military capabilities meant to deter China. This creates a “funding loop,” whereby Indian demand for Chinese goods helps fuel the very economic engine driving the modernization of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
India’s widening trade deficit thus generates a distinct set of strategic and economic vulnerabilities, including the “hollowing out” of domestic manufacturing. Yet there is remarkably little public discourse in India on how such structural dependence on Chinese imports may be deepening the country’s long-term strategic exposure.
India cannot credibly prepare to counter an expansionist rival, which lays claim to vast Indian territories including an entire state, while simultaneously bankrolling its rise.
The Geneva Conventions — reinforced by their Additional Protocol I — explicitly prohibit attacks on objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population. Where electrical plants are exclusively for civilian use and underpin basic needs, including powering hospitals, water systems and sanitation, their deliberate destruction is unlawful.
Trump’s threat to “obliterate” Iran’s electrical grid — now merely postponed — therefore underscores his disregard of international law. But his threatened action is not without precedent.
During the 1991 Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), the U.S. systematically destroyed much of Iraq’s electricity-generating capacity. The consequences were devastating. Without power, water purification systems failed, refrigeration collapsed, hospitals faltered and the broader civilian infrastructure unraveled. The result was a surge in waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid and gastroenteritis and a sharp rise in infant mortality.
Later studies by UN agencies and others reached a stark conclusion: the destruction of Iraq’s power grid operated, in effect, as a biological weapon in slow motion.
- The Tricolour replaced the Union Jack
- Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram replaced God Save the King
- Ashoka Stambha in place of the Royal Coat of Arms
- The navy now has the Ashoka Chakra & Shivaji's seal in place of St George's cross
- Rajpath and Raj Bhavan have become Kartavya Path and Lok Bhavan, and the PMO is now Seva Teerth.
- Parliament now has the Chola Sengol
- How much longer for the judiciary to proudly flaunt a more appropriate dress code?
- Symbolism is important to change mindsets and cherish Indianness
- But also, at a more fundamental level, it must be horribly uncomfortable in those heavy robes and wigs!
People sitting in high positions in India continue to view second world war from the eyes of the British. Seen through it, Prime Minister Tojo, who aided our freedom struggle, is a bad guy, whereas Hinduphobe Churchill, who causes millions death in India, and paedophiles in uniform are heroes. Native collaborators who died fighting for British Empire are glorified even as someone like Justice Radha Binod Pal is hardly remembered.

Why It Is Absurd to Relatively Date the Mandalas of the Rigveda
……………………………………………….
According to Shrikant Talageri, the 6th Mandala is the oldest. The hymns of the 6th Mandala were composed by eight Rishis belonging to the Bharadvāja gotra, with Bharadvāja Bārhaspatya (son of Bṛhaspati) authoring 59 of its 75 sūktas.
In this mandala, Bharadvāja refers to King Nami Sāpya (6.20.6). The Pañcaviṃśa Brāhmaṇa states that Nami Sāpya was the first to perform the Sarasvatīya Sattra and that he travelled from Plakṣa Prāsravaṇa (the source of the Sarasvatī) to Vinaśana (the place where the river disappeared). This clearly indicates that the Sarasvatī had already been lost in the desert at Vinaśana well before the time of Videha King Nami Sāpya.
Consequently, Bharadvāja Bārhaspatya must be counted among the latest Rishis of the Rigvedic period. If the 6th Mandala is treated as the oldest, a serious chronological contradiction arises: how could Rishi Gṛtsamada (of the 2nd Mandala) and other Rishis describe the Sarasvatī as the mighty, flowing “nadītamā” river and refer to the Sadānīra — features that belong to an earlier phase when the Sarasvatī was still a perennial river? This makes any relative dating of the mandalas chronologically untenable.
It is fundamentally mistaken to assign relative dates to entire mandalas of the Rigveda. The true authors of the mantras are the individual Rishis who composed the sūktas. Chronology must therefore be established by dating these Rishis through careful relative analysis of their references and historical indicators, rather than by mechanically dating whole mandalas.
The entire framework of relatively dating the mandalas is a speculative construct introduced by colonial Indologists, which many later Indian scholars have adopted without critical examination.
ASI presents 'Sas-Bahu Temple' — not Sahasra-Bahu, not thousand-armed Vishnu.
Reports emerge: visitors told not to remove shoes.
No murti in garbhagriha.
Name reduced to soap opera.
Wedding photoshoots.
Shoes inside a temple.
The method is complete. 🏛️📉
Sanskrit → vernacular → tourism branding. Sacred → secular → wedding backdrop. Vishnu's form → family joke → Instagram spot.
Iltutmish destroyed Nagda in 1226 with armies. ASI erases Sahasra-Bahu in 2026 with plaques and policy.
This is how sanctity dies. Not through invasion — through institutional convenience. One generation prays to thousand-armed Lord. Next hears 'Sas-Bahu,' thinks domestic drama. Third sees ASI signage, wears shoes, poses.
We don't burn temples anymore. We rebrand them. Gradually. Officially. Until no one remembers what was lost.
Who wins when protectors become erasers? Who loses when archaeology becomes event management?
Vishnu had thousand arms. ASI couldn't preserve one name, one sanctity, one truth.
It is nice to see Modi ji paying tributes to former PMs Nehru and Indira Gandhi. I have always felt that Modi ji must endorse these two former INC PMs along with PM Vajpayee for their good contributions to India for both political and strategic reasons.
They had their fair share of mistakes and even blunders that has cost India economically and geopolitically. But I do not believe either of them were in anyway so bad to be hated completely.
These two PMs fought the deep state as much as current PM is fighting. But Modi ji as PM started with a base of $2 trillion economy, a much stronger military, and with a robust Indian industry to lean on. The former PMs didn't have that luxury.
I believe many of their decisions then were products of geopolitical circumstances and India's position in the global order. Anyway, whatever it is, you agree or not, it is very important for PM Modi or ruling govt doesn't make enemies of all INC supporters. That's a big number in India.
Right now, India needs to unify and not fight over petty past issues. I know there is also a hardcore anti-Muslim sentiment (much of it seeded by some forces) in India among the radical Hindutva base. PM Modi should also address this and ensure Muslims of India do not feel so alienated.
Also, India must put great effort to enf Pakistan and foreign based psyops seeding and instigating the radicals on both sides to try break our unity and weaken India. Let the radicals among BJP's base keep shouting, but PM must do his job of taking along everyone in India earnestly.
- Regulate online hate between communities
- Fight adversarial psyops radicalising all sides
- Govt do more to be inclusive and take along everyone
- Tighten screws on loud mouths and radical politicians in ruling coalition making loose, divisive statements
I completely agree with Anand Sir.
This is not overwork; it is mismanagement of work.
There are courts where a single judge has to hear over a hundred matters in a day, and often only 50–60 get taken up due to paucity of time. Yet, in other courts, some judges have barely 20–25 matters and are done by lunchtime.
In certain cases, judges spend hours on matters they personally prefer or where their favourite Senior Advocates appear, leaving several other cases unheard. This uneven distribution and selective prioritisation reflect poor management, not overburden.
And let’s be honest, who isn’t overworked in this country? Doctors, police personnel, and many others work tirelessly without such privileges. Yet, the judiciary enjoys the most extensive facilities, including two months of annual vacation.
When 53 million cases are pending, such long holidays are indefensible. Even schoolchildren don’t get that much time off. A judge may go on vacation - but justice must never.
I can even share Orders in several cases where, for four consecutive dates, the matter could not be reached, and that itself covers a period of more than one year.
This clearly shows how inefficiency and poor management are delaying justice, not overwork.
The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCOARA) says, "We unanimously express deep anguish and disapproval at the recent act of an advocate who, by his unwarranted and intemperate gesture, sought to disrespect the office and authority of the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India and his companion Judges. Such conduct is unbecoming of a member of the Bar and strikes at the very foundation of mutual respect that sustains the relationship between the Bench and the Bar. SCOARA further expresses its considered view that the Supreme Court of India may be pleased to take suo motu cognisance of the said conduct and initiate appropriate proceedings for contempt of court, as the act/gesture is a calculated move to scandalise the authority of the Supreme Court and lower its dignity in the eyes of the public..."
We Indians should now acknowledge that Hindi can no more be considered able to replace English as an official language. Hence we all Indians should strive to learn Sanskrit as the Official Language. Hindi can continue as a mixture with Urdu for Bombay films.
Every moment of my life is dedicated to upholding the noble values enshrined in the Constitution of India, given to us by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. It is only due to the Constitution that a person like me, born into poverty and in a backward family, is able to serve the nation. Our Constitution gives crores of people hope, strength and dignity.
2,300 years BEFORE the Colosseum, #Bharatiyas built a massive stadium in Dholavira. Tiered amphitheater seating for 10,000 spectators, spanning 160,000 sq ft. It served as a ceremonial ground, sports arena, cultural center & even a trade exhibition center fair! #India#History
Muslims have and still are ethnically cleansing the lands they colonized. Afghans used to be Buddhist. Iraq was Christian. What do you think happened to all the Jews from Yemen, Morocco, Syria, Egypt etc? How did the Hindu population of Pakistan go from 30% to 2% in a generation?
In Mughal India,
Foreign Muslims like Iranis and Turanis were around 1% of the population.
Yet, they enjoyed most of the higher positions.
Out of 51 Mansabdars with the rank of 5000:
45% were Persians.
17% were Turani Turks.
Only 7% were Indian Muslims.
Indeed this is a site of violence since 1528, and every one visiting Ayodhya must know this. Countless sacrifices for upholding Dharm. This is the victory of Dharm. Dharmo rakshati rakshitah.
Every person who visits the temple in Ayodhya will always know that this temple was built by demolishing a mosque, and that it is a site of violence. Not one devotee will go through a temple visit without this thought.
