This is appalling, dangerous for this dedicated brave journalist and very revealing of fascistic western Big Tech. Can we please stop relying on Large Learning Models for information (PS there is nothing intelligent about them so calling them AI is daft).

I fear Germany (and a lot of the ‘West’) is setting the stage for antisemitic mass violence. This explicit conflation of Israeli and Jewish by Spiegel just as many of Europe’s press and politicians begin to use the term genocide should worry all of us

Thanks to everyone who came along to the launch of I’m Going to Make a Friend. Such a lovely evening hosted by @Ink84Books and organised by @LittleTigerUK
Enoch Powell in the ‘rivers of blood’ speech:
‘But while, to the immigrant, entry to this country was admission to privileges and opportunities, the impact upon the existing population was very different. For they found themselves made strangers in their own country.’
Taken literally, ‘Island of Strangers’ is nonsensical. But symbolically it weaves Powellism, notions of belonging, and blood and soil nationalism into one phrase. And it further emboldens the racists.
I think it's a big mistake to accept the framing of 'island of strangers' and then argue about it. The implied notion of nation as family is insidious - it's not something we should be aiming for.
"The Nakba continues until today."
77 years ago today, Huda's father was one of more than 800,000 Palestinians forced from their homes when the state of Israel was created.
Today, Huda's neighbours and community in Sheikh Jarrah are threatened with eviction by the Israeli authorities from the place they sought refuge after 1948. #NakbaDay77 #NakbaDay #Nakba
Oh yes. Finally. The wait is always too long 😉

in these discipline policies, speaking in ‘correct grammar’, ‘standard English’, in ‘full sentences’ and not using ‘slang’ were perceived to be signs of well behaving children - whilst the opposite was true for badly behaved children. these are ideological, not empirical links.
