Two female police officers, who were too slow to catch a suspect fleeing on foot, jump into an Uber driver's car and demand that he drive them to chase the suspect down.

Despite the free ride, the Houston Police officers couldn't catch the man.

The Uber driver's wife was reportedly unhappy with the situation.

"Two people signed up to be in those situations. Two people are getting paid to be in those situations. One of them wasn’t, you know. So that was the risk that my wife was concerned about," driver Anthony Baines said.

The suspect was wanted for allegedly threatening to shoot a mom and her two kids.

To many who have actually seen combat, know how this female officer feels.

To have a man, come from behind in the SAME direction as the shooter was, would startle any seasoned officer. This was a tragic case of misidentification in an extremely tense situation.

Her partner has just been shot. Shooter mere feet away. Then this guy casually strolls up behind her in what appears to be complete silence.
