@LukeTryl Biggest takeway for me is that main parties aren’t seen to be selling a clear and honest vision of what climate action will achieve. Public want political leadership and direction. So many people saying they want something “bold”.
@LukeTryl For me the transport polarisation is surface level outside the local battles,
with a big majority accepting the direction of (sustainable) travel. Oil and gas extraction feels more risky because less well understood and energy costs are such a strong influence on attitudes.
This is a really nice evidencing of something we've been seeing qualitatively for a while in discussions with citizens on Net Zero - concern about climate change is not a useful differentiator of attitudes. From our Net Zero Diaries in 2021 -->
