Let me explain this in simple terms since no one on CT can do it.
The main problem of gaming tokens is that they can be sold on DEXes/CExes for money. This completely destroys any in game economy no matter how many sinks you have. It changes the focus from making a game to managing a currency/treasury.
Apptokens completely removes that ability.
Now your tokens behave exactly like a web2 primogem or robux.
It is sold to players for a fixed price (or given away). It cannot be sold or exchanged anywhere except in game (banned in dex and cex). It can only be used in games allowed by the dev. The price will never change (or maybe even go up or go on sale sometimes).
You dont need market makers. Supply is irrelevant. You can mint infinite supply to acquire users (free robux!) The only thing that matters is THE GAME.
Now, WHY did Limitbreak simply copy the web2 primogem?
BECAUSE there is a maximum amount of $999/$2,000 daily spend for apps on IOS and Google Play. LB wants to literally break the limit for spending on primogems on web3.
People spend millions in crypto on a pudgy penguin or on a memecoin. Gabe wants this money flowing into his game without daily monetary limits plus 30% apple store/google play cuts.
Introducing Apptokens: infinitely programmable token smart contracts for next-generation digital economies
The apptokens release is the culmination of Limit Breakβs work designing novel token smart contracts to unlock an array of critical features for web3 game developers.
Yup. Card shop owner here. We sell booster packs. Our margin is 20% at best.
Gacha companies only have 2 choices - cheat their customers or lose money.
They're all cheating the odds guaranteed bec there is no way they can continue top blasting inventory and make money.
Pokemon gotcha companies are bleeding money while resellers eat because grail card holders refuse to sell.
"People are so excited to get a grail card because they believe the market's going to keep going up that these gotcha companies are then forced to buy those grails at a premium rather than at a wholesale rate."
"The casino can't keep reselling and re-rolling those cards because the demand for keeping the cards is so high."
"If you have a grail, you probably should hold onto it because the resellers, the scalpers and the gotcha companies, they are all hunting for your cardboard."
The Bored Apes have now competely roundtripped the gain in price from @mfigge's takeover, thanks to ETH price action.
The cheapest price for a BAYC in USD was in March 2026. Are we approaching that level again?
I spent the entire year persuading someone to run for office. I don't think corruption will be an issue because of one important thing: he has no children. There's no incentive to amass wealth.
@JoshuaBarzon Such a no brainer for all expenses paid.

Singaporeans pay $1.3m to live in a shoebox and call it first world.
As much as 85% of all residences in Metro Manila are actual houses with multiple floors.
For a fraction of the cost.
And you can get EVERYTHING Singapore can offer PLUS a chaffeur chef cleaner.
Visited a friend who just sold her 5-room HDB flat for $1.4M yesterday.
Another friend selling her 4-room HDB for $1.3M.
Both just upgraded β one into a $1.8M resale condo, the other a $2M new EC.
Both complaining about the loans they took to get there.
Their reasoning? "This is how you build wealth in Singapore."
But here's what I actually saw.
Two families in their mid-forties. Strapped to massive mortgages. Freedom quietly traded away for square footage.
That's not wealth-building. That's a gilded invisible cage.
To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Five years of exponential property prices will do that to you - recency bias at play.
@jbondwagon@tinopremium@mfigge@AdamWeitsman IMO, Club membership should discriminate. It's the main point of being in a club. Not tossing out the bad apples will eventually rot everything inside I think.
@eth_apple They need to bench Jarett Allen and play Dean Wade at the 4/5 so they can space out and cook Brunson on drives.
Because Allen can't shoot, his defender clogs the paint and allows the Knicks to stay on Cleveland's shooters.
