This was an incredible interview that everyone needs to watch. Expect more of exactly what Ro Khanna is doing from other politicians in the run up to 2028: cynically using Palestinians, to position themselves as in line with a growing anti-Israel base while not really doing much of anything to hold the U.S. govt policies and Israel accountable for the occupation, apartheid and genocide.

🚨 BREAKING | U.S.-Kuwaiti journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin was acquitted of all charges by a court in Kuwait on Thursday and is expected to be released imminently, according to Caoilfhionn Gallagher, international counsel to Shihab-Eldin’s sisters.

Shihab-Eldin was arrested by Kuwaiti authorities on March 3 reportedly over social media posts related to the Iran war. “We are relieved that, after 52 days in detention, Ahmed has been found innocent on all charges. Our focus now is upon ensuring the liberty and safety of our client,” Gallagher said in a statement. In its first ruling, a newly established court overseeing state security and terrorism crimes on Thursday issued verdicts for 137 defendants accused of “inciting sectarian strife on social media platforms,” according to Al-Rai newspaper.

17 defendants were sentenced to three years in prison; one was sentenced to 10 years; nine were acquitted; and 109 were not subject to any criminal penalty.

Israel just blew up a school in southern Lebanon.

A year ago, it would have fabricated lies that the school was a secret hideout of Hamas or that there were tunnels below it filled with weapons.

Since the West protected Israel as it destroyed Gaza, Israel doesn't even feel the need to make up lies or excuses any longer. It just kills and destroys without limitation.

And according to Israeli politicians, yesterday it was Gaza, today it's Lebanon and Iran, and tomorrow it will be Turkey.

🗞️ Israel Reinstates Soldiers Charged With Raping Palestinian Detainee at Sde Teiman

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has approved the return of five soldiers to active military service after charges against them were dropped, despite no completed command-level investigation, Haaretz reported.

The soldiers beat, dragged, tasered, and sexually assaulted a Palestinian detainee at Sde Teiman prison, who was hospitalized with broken ribs, a punctured lung, and severe internal injuries. Israel’s chief military prosecutor withdrew the indictment last month. The defense minister apologized to the soldiers and called their prosecution an “injustice.”

The reinstatement comes as rights group Euro-Med Monitor finds in a new report that sexual violence inside Israeli detention facilities is an organized state policy.

Arab Barghouti, the son of prominent Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti, tells me he was “shocked and appalled” to hear from his father’s Israeli lawyer that he has been mistreated and assaulted three times in the past month by Israeli prison guards.

April 12, 2026, I visited Marwan Barghouti in my capacity as his lawyer.

What I confirmed through this visit is deeply alarming. In recent weeks, Marwan Barghouti has been subjected to three violent assaults. On April 8 in Ganot Prison, he was severely beaten and left bleeding for more than two hours. He requested medical care and was denied treatment. On March 25, he was assaulted during his transfer from Megiddo to Ganot. On March 24, in Megiddo Prison, guards entered his cell with a dog, forced him to the ground, and the dog repeatedly attacked him. 

These are not isolated incidents. They form a clear pattern of escalating abuse: violence, medical neglect, and treatment that places him at immediate risk.

He had a great deal to say. Above all, he wanted to know more about his family and the Palestinian people, What is happening in Palestinian and Israeli scene I tried to tell him everything I know.

But even that conversation took place under absurd conditions: the phones did not work, so we had to shout through the glass just to hear each other.

For five hours, I sat there without food or water, trying to make sure this visit meant something.

This is what a legal visit looks like today: basic conditions denied, communication obstructed, and even the most elementary human and professional standards ignored.

And still, despite all of that, his mind was sharp, focused, and deeply engaged with everything happening outside those prison walls.
