A mother and her two young boys were trapped inside an SUV after it crashed into a creek and started sinking.

She was able to get herself out, but her boys were still inside.

Five college girls driving to Savannah happened to see the wreck and immediately pulled over. They ran down to the water and started helping, getting the older boy out first.

Then they realized the 4-year-old was still trapped underwater in his car seat.

By the time they reached him, he had been submerged for several minutes and wasn’t breathing.

One of the girls had worked as a lifeguard, so she started CPR right there.

A short time later, the little boy began breathing again.

The five girls were Molly McCollum, Jane McArdle, Eleanor Cart, Clarke Jones and Kaitlyn Iannace.

They had simply been on their way to a weekend away.

Instead, they stopped and helped save an entire family.

Kathy Hochul has a serious political problem. Hollywood Democrats like Debra Messing are now endorsing Bruce Blakeman for governor of New York. Messing backed Hillary Clinton for president, and in 2018 she donated to Cynthia Nixon’s run for governor. Messing looked at Hochul and walked.

Thursday night in Manhattan, Messing told Blakeman he’s what New York needs more than anything. She said the New York City she loves isn’t that city anymore.

The fundraiser was hosted by Tanya Zuckerbrot. Messing is in a campaign video with him. She talked about businesses leaving, people leaving, and utility bills. She called Blakeman the affordability candidate. This was reported Sunday.

Messing has also been publicly against Zohran Mamdani, and she broke with her party after October 7. This isn’t a secret conversion. It’s a Democrat who stayed one until the decline reached her own street.

Hochul’s problem isn’t that a sitcom actress changed teams. It’s that the actress can describe the state better than the governor can. Cost, crime, and a city emptying out are problems anyone being honest can see.

Messing didn’t discover Blakeman. She noticed Hochul. When a Will & Grace star is willing to say the Republican is the answer, the incumbent already lost the argument. The vote is what’s left.
