From barren to blooming: The transformation of Tsoltak Lake
A remote glacial lake in Ladakh was found to contain biologically active growth. A group of researchers from @BSIP_official, @ari_pune, @AcSIR_India analysed the Tsoltak Glacial Lake. Once lifeless is now booming with diatoms and other microorganisms, indicating the changing climate and the region's accessibility. The increased temperature during summer is causing a surge in microscopic life, says the new study.
