1/ With Zack Snyder and James Gunn’s Rick & Morty crossover out there…
Time to share my crackshot fever dream: a DCU x DCEU multiverse event that gives Snyder’s Justice League a definitive ending within the new DCU. 🧵
@supersecretjosh I think the order’s fine. Even if this movie underperforms, so long as it’s received well it should still work to build anticipation for Man of Tomorrow and help make that a greater success than Superman 2025.
@kr1shnaaustin Man of Tomorrow will be in theatres next to Shrek 5, Minecraft 2, Spider-Man Beyond the Spiderverse, How to Train Your Dragon 2.
It isn’t making a billion, it’ll be like 2025 all over again, with all those big releases eating each other alive.
@iamrobtv The Batman 1&2 take place in 2022. There’s realistically be minimum 6 years before the 2 heroes meet, that’s plenty of time to fill in the gaps.
@TrainMaster_36@cyancandev@Jtaylor0_3 Reeves was hired to take over for Affleck, so I’m guessing he originally pitched this movie as a prequel before it shifted to becoming its own thing.
@shadowoftheali It’s interesting to me how the reviews are a fair amount less positive that the previous 4 films (including 4) yet so many of the reviews say that it’s one of the best in the franchise.
I think it’s a strong example of the pedestal people used to place these movies on.
- Sebastian Stan said he’d be playing “many roles”.
- Charles Dance being cast as his father makes sense, the Elliot’s are important figures in Gotham, and it would be a similar type of role to Tywin Lannister.
- Matt Reeves himself said he’d like to do Hush in the sequel.
Sebastian Stan is rumored to actually be playing Victor Zsasz in ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’.
Brian Tyree Henry is rumored to be playing Harvey Dent.
